Geri DeSousa resides in a small
town on the south coast of Massachusetts. She shares her life and home with her
husband and daughter and various four legged critt
ers
that include a couple of dogs, kitties, horses and two bunnies.
Geri received her first camera as a Christmas present at the age of ten and hasn’t stopped photographing since! While she dreamed of being a photographer her career path led her elsewhere. For many years she worked in the Animal Health field as a Med/Surgery Technician, all the while continuing to pursue her dream, continuing to photograph, taking classes and learning as much as she could. Her true passion finally could no longer be denied and the decision was made to go for her dream.
Geri has been working as a professional photographer for the last five years. Recently she has opened a new studio along with two associates. Studio photography is a service she can now offer her clients as well as on site location photography. Her enjoyment when working with animals is evident by looking at her equine and pet photography. Geri also loves photographing children of all ages with or without their pets. Another of her passion is working with children with special needs. She calls them her “Special Kids”, and has found this to be some of her most rewarding work.
You can also find her at a family function, a wedding, or other special event happily documenting that special day for her clients. Geri is excited about her passion and shares her knowledge and experiences with others through seminars and classes. Her work has been published in various equine publications including numerous cover layouts as well as parent and children publications. Her work with numerous non-profit and corporate organizations can be viewed in several publications in the South Coast area.
